Research Team

The mission of UCI Health is to Discover, Teach and Heal.
To achieve this mission, the UCI Consent to Contact Registry (C2C) has been launched to connect the people of Orange County with researchers at UCI.
Leading the operation of C2C is the faculty and staff of UCI MIND (Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders).
Here are just some of the dedicated people involved in this effort.

Joshua Grill, PhD

Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior and Neurobiology and Behavior; Director of UCI MIND; Leader of Recruitment and Retention Unit, UCI Institute for Clinical and Translational Science

Dr. Grill is an NIH-funded Alzheimer’s disease researcher whose work focuses on clinical trials, especially issues related to recruitment and retention. He is the principal investigator of the UCI C2C.

Megan Witbracht, PhD

Associate Director of Education

Dr. Witbracht is responsible for managing the regulatory activities for all studies conducted at UCI MIND. She directs UCI MIND outreach, recruitment, and education programs throughout Orange County.

Adrijana Gombosev, MS

Recruitment and Retention Unit Manager

Adrijana fosters research partnerships within and outside the University, provides recruitment outreach, and helps manage the UCI C2C Registry.

Dan Hoang

Data Manager

Dan manages data sharing, security and computer programming for UCI MIND.

The C2C Registry was made possible by a philanthropic gift by HCP, Inc.

HCP, Inc. is a healthcare real estate investment trust that owns healthcare properties throughout the nation.

Senior Vice President, Operational CFO, and Controller, Jeanine Bonesteele, chairs HCP's Social Responsibility Committee and is an active member of the UCI MIND Leadership Council, which aims to increase philanthropic funding for neurodegenerative disease research at UC Irvine.
